Follow these steps to perform your first scan:

1. Head into your ShapeScale account:
   • For home users, tap "Get started" and select “I’m a home user who wants to use ShapeScale already set up at my home”.
   • For business clients, tap "Get started" and select “I’m a client who wants to use ShapeScale in a commercial location”.
   • For managed accounts, head into your business account and then your "Clients" tab. Tap on the client's profile and select "Take Client First Scan".
2. Go through the scanning guidelines and make sure to follow them.
3. Go through the scan breakdown screens.
4. A unique QR code will then pop-up (see photo at the end of the article). Each user must use their own account QR code to trigger their first scan. Place it approximately 1 foot away from ShapeScale’s sensor. Once you hear a loud “beep” noise, you can put the phone aside and step on the scale. Freeze until ShapeScale says that the scan is complete.
5. Finish setting up your account and add your personal information. The scan will appear in your account after approximately 7-10 minutes, depending on the speed of your Wi-Fi.

NOTE: After you’ve taken your first scan, ShapeScale facial recognition will be activated for your account. For subsequent scans, you can simply step on ShapeScale - it will recognize you and assign the results to your account automatically.
