Pairing your ShapeScaleUpdated 6 months ago
Once your ShapeScale has been unpacked and assembled, the next step will need to pairing it to your ShapeScale account and your location’s Wi-Fi network. Depending on whether you are a business owner/staff or a home user, follow the instructions below:
NOTE: The pairing stage only needs to be completed once, or whenever you wish to connect to a new Wi-Fi network. If you need to pair to a new network, please use the same ShapeScale account that was used the first time.
Business owners/Staff
- Download the ShapeScale app and create your account. We recommend using an email and password that your colleagues will be able to access whenever you’re not around. This account will be used as the admin/central account for your business.
- Tap “Get Started” and select “I’m a business owner who wants to set up a new ShapeScale”.
- Follow the in-app instructions to pair the device and connect it to your Wi-Fi. Please note that ShapeScale can only pair to private networks. If your network doesn’t show up, try refreshing the list or entering the details manually (“Enter SSID”).
- If the device is successfully paired, your ShapeScale will display rainbow coloured lights.
Home users
- Download the ShapeScale app and create your account. This account will also serve as your personal account, so you can use an email and password that are only known to you.
- Tap “Get Started” and select “I’m a home user who wants to set up a new ShapeScale”.
- Follow the in-app instructions to pair the device and connect it to your Wi-Fi. Please note that ShapeScale can only pair to private networks. If your network doesn’t show up, try refreshing the list or entering the details manually (“Enter SSID”).
- If the device is successfully paired, your ShapeScale will display rainbow coloured lights.
