ShapeScale’s localized circumference and volumetric measurements are accurate down to 1/20th of an inch.

Our body fat algorithm has been trained on 1000+ DEXA scans, and our data validation study has shown ShapeScale to be 25% more accurate than other assessment methods, such as bioelectrical impedance analysis (BIA). It has been validated at a 2.90% RMS error against DEXA scan results. In other words, if your DEXA body fat percentage is 23%, ShapeScale might show anywhere from about 20% to 26%.
